Collection and processing of personal data

You can visit the thyssenkrupp Decarbon Technologies GmbH website anonymously, i.e. without telling us who you are. When you visit our website, our web servers process by default the IP address with which you access our website, the website from which you visit our website and the files you retrieve from us, as well as the date of your visit and general information from your browser. This data is processed to ensure the security of the web server and to adapt the output of the information called up to your output medium in terms of performance. Evaluations for statistical purposes are carried out exclusively in anonymized form

Contact form

thyssenkrupp Decarbon Technologies GmbH processes the following data about you to process your request if you provide it in the contact form: Title, first name, surname, e-mail, street, zip code, city, telephone number and the content of your request. We will pass on your personal data to recipients if this is necessary to fulfill your request. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data depends on your request and may result from a contract with you (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR), your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) or on the basis of a balancing of interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) of our legitimate interest in providing you with a good service. We are supported in the operation of our contact form by our IT service providers as processors. We process your data - if the processing is based on your consent - until you withdraw your consent or - if the processing is based on a balancing of interests - until you object to this or for the purpose of your request until it has been dealt with. It is not possible to process your request without providing the data required to contact you and to understand and process your request. The other information is voluntary. This service is only intended for persons over the age of 18.

If we process your personal data on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), you can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. If we process your personal data on the basis of a balancing of interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), you can object to the processing at any time with effect for the future.

In addition, we process the "referrer" information as part of your use of the contact form (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR), which is deleted after 4 weeks at the latest. Without the collection of this information, it is not technically possible to use the contact form.

Please note that inquiries are processed via the Microsoft Dynamics program and your data is stored there as part of your request.

Your data protection rights

You have the right to request information about the personal data stored about you in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR. In addition, you can request the correction or deletion of your data in accordance with Art. 16 and 17 GDPR. You may also have the right to restrict the processing of your data in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR and the right to receive the data you have provided in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR, provided that this does not adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others. If you have given us your consent to data processing, you can revoke this at any time without any formal requirements and without any adverse effects. Please note that the revocation has no effect on the legality of the data processing carried out before the revocation and that it does not extend to such data processing for which another permission exists and which may therefore also be carried out without your consent.

In accordance with Art. 77 GDPR, you also have the option of lodging a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.

You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you which is based on point (f) of Article 6(1) GDPR (data processing on the basis of a balancing of interests); this also applies to any profiling based on this provision within the meaning of Article 4(4) GDPR.

If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. The objection can be made informally and should preferably be addressed to the controller or data protection officer named below in the privacy policy.

Scope of and changes to this privacy policy

This privacy policy applies exclusively to the use of the websites offered by us. It does not apply to the websites of other service providers to which we merely refer by means of a link. We accept no responsibility or liability for third-party declarations and guidelines that are not related to our website.
